MORE INFO....
From a lifetime of visiting, working and living in the Yarra Ranges, many aspects, experiences and vistas remain indelibly etched. These are the source rather than the definition of Ian Whitford's work. Interpreting these experiences and creating images and designs means that the artist is the creator and the viewer the reactor.
This exhibition encompasses large oil paintings on canvas, smaller abstractions in enamel on hardboard and pen and ink drawings.
Most of Ian Whitford's career has been in outdoor education involving environmental science, physical recreation and the arts, in which he holds significant tertiary qualifications.
Ian Whitford exhibits regularly with the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria.
