Opening night - Wednesday 8 June 2022

The opening night of Contemporary Art Society Pop-Up Art Exhibition was a fun and enjoyable evening. Starting at 6pm, artists, Committee Members, Friends of CAS and new Members met for a relaxed evening at the Carringbush Hotel, 228 Langridge Street, Abbotsford.

The venue is one that should be visited. Its warm interior of red brick, open fire and cosy layout are a delight. This hotel is also unique as it is fully Vegan. After arriving at the Hotel and enjoying a drink and a chat with visitors to the Art Exhibition, we sat down to a delicious Vegan dinner. There were plenty of interesting dishes to choose from and they were all excellent.

The Hotel was crowded and buzzing with patrons enjoying the ambience of the Hotel whilst listening to a live duet playing in the background.

The idea of having an Art Exhibition at a venue which also serves food and drink is a wonderful concept. Art is an expression of life as we know it and wherever we are, it’s always more enjoyable to be surrounded by artwork.
