The Planning and research.
What is your working environment like?
Organised mess.
What kind of (formal & informal) art training have you had?
Ceramics CIT Fine Art majoring Sculpture RMIT Degree Course Drafting and Graphic Communication.
How has your art training affected the kind of art you produce?
My art training gave me the solid knowledge of materials. Helped me to be organised and understanding that only myself can be the restrictive element. My motto :"Dream big and believe in yourself"
Name some important influences and inspirations in your art career.
Visiting exhibitions interstate and overseas. My great Uncle who was a well known Sculptor in Europe.
What has been the most difficult thing you have encountered in your work?
Often delivery as Sculptures are heavy and you have to provide your own display devices.
Have there been major turning points in your art career?
I had a steady progression as I like to experiment with materials and change the media and style of my Artwork to suit my new ‘creations’.
What has been the highlight of your art career?
Winning prizes, selling your work.
Artist comment about “My Son”
This is my third edition, the last of the series of three. The first edition received a prize during the 'Year of the Child' The second edition had the Prize two years ago at the Royal Melbourne Agricultural Show.
Artist comment about “The Basket ball players (pair) ”
I played basket ball for years and now the tradition kept going in the family. I hope that I was able to create the movement and also expressed the joy of that game.
