What
part of the process of creating art do you like best?
The
best part of creating art is to explore the accidental
effects whilst creating the works.
What
is your working environment like?
I work
from my garage which is my studio. Light is ample and the
space enough to draw and paint.
What
kind of (formal & informal) art training have you had?
Trained with Joan Lane (V.A.S)
at sixteen. 1993-1995 studied at RMIT.
How
has your art training affected the kind of art you produce?
RMIT
was a great training ground to experiment with various
materials and the visual language.
Name
some important influences and inspirations in your art
career.
Peter
Walsh is a contemporary inspiration. I consider him to be a
great Australian master.
What
has been the most difficult thing you have encountered in
your work?
The
most difficult thing for any artist is to maintain a
consistent style whilst depicting various subjects or
themes.
Have
there been major turning points in your art career?
My
solo show at Dickerson Gallery, Richmond is a major turning
point in my career.
What has been the highlight of your art career?
Every
time I show my works, it's a highlight. The excitement and
buzz it creates is memorable.
